So a few more days. Just a few more days before Christmas. I’ve been counting down with tons of cookie baking, packaging, tying ribbons, driving and delivering. For the driving and delivering part, I have to give a huge thank you to my husband, the trusty delivery guy who brings the cookies to the front doors of my every single client, day in and day out. So I can focus on making sure the cookies are delicious and the packaging looks pretty.
Being a mother who enjoys baking, I love to contribute in my kids school parties. Every one of them. Most of the time I make cake pops because kids are really amazed about them. The morning they see I bring in a box of cake pops, the thrill on their faces simply makes my day! And the moment my kid tells the whole class, “My mom made them!”, although I am not there to witness it, I know how proud of their mama they are!
Happy December! So we are at this time of the year again when every one has started to get really busy. Parties, shopping, vacations…just try to have a bit more fun before a big wave of new year arrives.
For myself, it’s pretty non-stop since summer, which was a wonderful one by the way! Then September came and my kids went back to school. My baby girl started kindergarten. My husband and I celebrated our birthdays. Threw a fire truck birthday party for the kids in October. School Halloween parties. Plus other routine pick-ups, drop-offs, activities, play dates, client orders and deliveries.
My first time making baklava was years ago when my sister-in-law told me she’s a huge fan of this Middle East dessert. Considered how she’s never liked to eat dessert, I was quite surprised that she would like this because baklava is notoriously sweet. My first attempt totally proved that!
These chocolate ganache cupcakes are nothing new, I admit. I’ve made these for baby showers and girls’ night party. Sometimes I top the cakes with chocolate buttercream, raspberry buttercream, marshmallow frosting…
