This was my fifth time making these cookies this month. Yes! One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Really crazily delicious cookies there that totally get me addicted. And the strange thing is that I am not even a big fan of ginger cookies! How absurd does it sound?!
So this was my children’s birthday cake this year. I tried to avoid cartoon characters this time. In fact I’ve been doing this, especially when I am shopping for them because one, most of the cartoon merchandises look pretty tawdry. Two, when you kids are hooked onto a certain character, and start to imitate it to a level that you want to kill that character, the last thing you want is to invest more time on a cake with that character’s face.
No Pokemon, no Ninjago, no princesses, no ponies… What else do they like? Well, what else?!
Let me tell you something if you haven’t heard about it. Chocolate and matcha are really good friends. You know how easy it is for chocolate to make friends. But with someone as edgy as matcha?! Oh yeah! They could totally get married and make tons of adorable babies.
We Canadians have an early Thanksgiving, which is this weekend. The good thing about it is that when American Thanksgiving comes, it feels like we are going to celebrate another Thanksgiving.
Not that we will actually be doing something on American Thanksgiving. But I am a food blogger, I am literally into anything festive and seasonal. My blog here will definitely be celebrating!
That morning I dropped off my children at school. Came back home to get the bread dough ready for rising. Had my run. Washed up. Rolled out the dough, spread the filling, stacked and stuffed in the pan. Another rise. Some housework. Baked the bread. Blogging and feed-reading a little while surrounded by the bread aroma. What a wonderful morning!
