I wouldn’t normally care about St. Patrick’s Day. Come on, it’s not a statutory holiday, like we could sleep in or skip work. But for some reasons, you will never miss that day. Because of the green, I guess.
Pear Walnut Coffee Cake
First of all, if you haven’t known, coffee cake doesn’t necessarily have coffee flavour in it. It simply goes great with a cup of coffee, and that’s how the name came from. This moist coffee cake is perfect for breakfast but also makes a delicious snack or dessert.
Green Tea Cake Roll
Green tea cake roll or swiss roll is nothing new, but I tried my first piece when I was in Hong Kong. It was from a Japanese bakery – I guess green tea is always a thing related to Japan. It’s light, airy, but not too sweet. It carried the right amount of green tea flavour, intense but not overwhelming. I was really impressed that I decided to come back and try to make it on my own.
Strawberry Jam Breadsticks
When I have time, I like to prepare a few pizza doughs and store them in the freezer. You know, just in case we are in the mood for pizza.
Contradictorily I also have a habit to clear out the freezer. I know I am unbelievable, and I can’t explain that. But sometimes it may lead to an amazing result if you put your excess pizza dough in a good use.
Salted Caramel Cheesecake Bars
I came across with this recipe, and I couldn’t wait to try making these elegant-looking cubed cheesecake. One of the many amazing things about these bars is the pecan shortbread crust.
