My mother lives thousands of miles away from us. I can only make and show her the Mother’s Day cake virtually. I figured that considered she’s not able to taste it, the look of the cake would have to wow her. So I decided to do something louder, bolder and more passionate in terms of the cake decoration. And I decided to go for a giant MOM cake topper.
Brownie Espresso Ice Cream Cake
Last year I requested a DQ ice cream cake for my birthday. That was when I hadn’t had an ice cream maker yet. The reason I wanted an ice cream cake was because I didn’t know what else would amaze me considered I make cakes all the time, until I finally have an ice cream maker, and figured that making an ice cream cake at home isn’t that hard afterall.
Cinnamon Rolls
My son had his first taste of the very popular Ikea cinnamon rolls the other day. Normally when he tries new food, especially something unconventional (I know cinnamon rolls are nothing unconventional, but according to my son, cinnamon sounds very alien to him!), he’s pretty conservative. However, he liked it! He loved it! And I know it’s not because of its sweetness (he’s pretty picky on sweet stuff), but because of the perfect combination of the spice, the gooey filling and the icing/glaze.
Lavender Honey Ice Cream
I used to buy ice cream from grocery stores. I thought ice cream was too cheap to worth making it from scratch at home. But then we eat a lot of home made desserts, our sweet teeth have started to get picky, and we found the store bought ice cream too boring. The flavours are pretty standard. And when you try to look for something special, it’s neither easy nor tasty. Normally it’s too sweet.
Easter Bunny and Chick Cake Pops
My last project/job for this Easter was these adorable bunny and chick cake pops. They may look like they are more for kids, and yes, they were ordered for kids. But when the adults saw them, the Awwwwww… the OH MY GOD…the THEY ARE SO CUTE!!!!! Their hearts melted!
