Last year I requested a DQ ice cream cake for my birthday. That was when I hadn’t had an ice cream maker yet. The reason I wanted an ice cream cake was because I didn’t know what else would amaze me considered I make cakes all the time, until I finally have an ice cream maker, and figured that making an ice cream cake at home isn’t that hard afterall.
I used to buy ice cream from grocery stores. I thought ice cream was too cheap to worth making it from scratch at home. But then we eat a lot of home made desserts, our sweet teeth have started to get picky, and we found the store bought ice cream too boring. The flavours are pretty standard. And when you try to look for something special, it’s neither easy nor tasty. Normally it’s too sweet.
Today let’s learn two words if you haven’t heard about them. Banoffee and dulce de leche. You know these words long ago? Oh you are lucky! Did you actually make these? Not yet? You know what, I did, and I think I am luckier.
