The endless winter showers have finally come to an end. What follows is a warmer and sunnier weather. Trees are all blooming. Tulips have brought our yard some long-missed colours. We don’t normally celebrate spring. But we are all thrilled to welcome it, because it means summer isn’t too far away.
Strawberry and Chocolate Cream Pie
This pie is a chocolate version of the strawberry cream pie that I always make. Simply add some chocolatey touch, and it becomes a totally different treat.
Chocolate Cupcakes with Raspberry Buttercream and Chocolate Glaze
These cupcakes are so fun to decorate, so pretty to look at, and so delicious to eat.
Vanilla Cupcakes with Salted Caramel Filling and Toasted Marshmallow Frosting
Despite the fact that I’ve always wanted to buy a kitchen torch, I still don’t have one. I was able to create a toasted meringue exterior for a cake by using the oven. And I was going to do the same for these cupcakes.
Pastel Cake
The weather was so magnificent for the past few days that we started to put on our short sleeves. Most importantly we were able to let the kids out at the backyard without worrying that their fingers or nose would come off because of the cold. Spring came a little early this year. What a nice surprise. Now we just hope it won’t slip away too soon.
